"I have known Mrs. Susan Tayo for many years and what I have learnt from her in terms of parenting is too long and wide to write here. I will however summarize it.
I have told anyone who cares to listen that I learnt my parenting skills from her. I watched and learnt from her as she raised her four kids and her principles are admirably purposeful.
When her kids were much younger, she spoke to them honestly and candidly. I had prior to then believed these qualities didn't matter because kids don't understand but it turned out she had the right principles at work. She took time to explain herself well to their understanding. One thing she used to say which still echoes in my ear is that it is good to be truthful and honest with kids. It is better not to promise children and deliberately fail them. I have seen her bond well with her children over the years with open lines of communication.
Mrs Tayo advocates for parents to know their children's friends, set limits as well as being kind and firm.
Her write ups have been a blessing to many including my sister and I. We live in Ghana but thanks to social media, we get to read her pages regularly and it has proffered loads of solutions. I particularly have learnt alot about insecurity in children, peer pressure, depression in teenagers, how to handle rebellion in kids amongst others.
I am blessed to know her and highly recommend her books, web pages to all well meaning parents. It will surely come in handy and the underlining Godly principle will help set a path of success for the kids.
Her passion and dedication is inspiring. The principles in her books are easy to follow and of course, her firm believe in Christ resonates through the books."
